I received my undergraduate degree from Penn State, and my veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, I worked at a couple of small animal hospitals for six years, when it became time to open my own practice. In the fall of 1991, I started VetCare, a mobile veterinary service, to meet the needs of owners and their pets who prefer to be served outside of a traditional hospital setting.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, and love being outdoors. I enjoy walking the dogs, hiking, camping, sailing, skiing, and pretty much anything with a Frisbee.
My family has also been involved with a local Seeing Eye Puppy Club. Club members raise a puppy for the Seeing Eye, teaching them basic obedience, and taking them to stores, schools, churches, malls, buses, trains, on vacation and doing anything else we can imagine to prepare them for life as a service dog. When they are a little over a year old, they return to Morristown, NJ for professional training, and will hopefully be placed as a guide dog for a blind individual. We have raised two puppies, and our most recent one is now a guide dog living in the midwest.
